First Letter Regarding High School Articulation/Welcome Letter
Dear Parents of 8th grade students,
It has been brought to our attention that the High School Articulation Site (Myschools.nyc) will open on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, by the end of the day (typically by 5:00pm). At this time, the ONLY things that can be done on the site are:
Without creating or logging into your account:
1. Look at the High School Directory
2. Look at High School Events that are taking place through out the five boroughs (Open Houses/School Fairs) on the calendar
With account created and logged in:
3. Register for SHSAT Exam (this exam is only for the 8 Specialized High Schools). The Deadline to register is Friday, October 27, 2023
4. Register for Fiorello LaGuardia High School (Auditioning School for the
Arts)
5. When you have finalized your list of choices, you may begin to add them on the high school application
**Important—Most students should have an account created on the Myschools.nyc site because parents were required to create the account when students applied to middle school.**
For families who already have an account created:
Go to Myschools.nyc and click on Login. You will be required to use the same email address that was used when you first created the account.
· If you do not remember your password please click on forgot password and a link to reset the password will be sent to the email address attached to the account.
· If you do not remember or wish to continue using the email that was used to create the account please contact your child’s school counselor. The prior email address needs to be unlinked before using a new one.
For Families that need to create an account: (This would pertain to students that previously lived in another country/state prior to this school year)
· The email will be sent from the High School Enrollment office as of Tuesday, October 3, 2023. Please check your email for the Welcome/PIN letter (also known as creation code). The office of H.S. Enrollment uses the email that you provided when you registered your child at I.S. 10Q. You will be required to enter the PIN number/creation code on that letter to create the account.
If you do not receive an email within a week, you or your child may contact the school counselor for the PIN letter. Please check your spam inbox.
